See how much money you can save using just 1 CFL in your home.

Some people can't get over the $3.25 cost of a 60-watt equivalent light bulb (which only uses 15 watts).  But if you put your green thinking cap on, you'd be thinking longterm.  Since the average American family spends $1900 a year on energy expenses alone (not including gas for cars), it pays off to think long term!

Here are some not-so-long-term stats on money you save with just one CFL:

  • One CFL lightbulb saves $60/year on electricity bills
  • They produce 70% less heat than incandescent bulbs, thus reducing demand on cooling systems in summer months.
