Many of our customers are concerned about mercury in their CFLs.  What should we do when my bulb (finally) burns out?  What if it breaks?

EnergyStar has put together a comprehensive white paper on why CFLs are still by far the better choice over halogens and incandescents.

To learn more about how to properly dispose of your CFLs and to answer some common questions, please read up here.

Another concern is that they are made in China, while the incandescents are made here. I haven't found one CFL that is made in the US. Does the fuel that it takes for them to get to us offset the energy they save? I'd like to fully embrace CFL's, but I wonder if they really are better. Have you come accross any US companies that make them here?
